There was a time when our collective dreams did not originate from a screen, but from a page. They took shape beneath the pencil of an artist hunched over a drafting table, multiplied into thousands of copies, and landed in the hands of readers who, turning the pages, learned to imagine impossible worlds.
This exhibition charts that century of visual imagination. From original ink-drawn pages, still alive with white-outs, corrections, and margin notes left by their creators, to vintage movie posters that promised adventure, mystery, and wonder before the theater lights even went down.
Here, comic art and cinema engage in a direct dialogue. Born from the same human impulse to tell stories through images, the two mediums have nourished each other for generations, trading heroes, visual styles, color palettes, and anxieties.
Every piece on display lives a double life.
There is the story it tells: a superhero taking flight for the very first time on an original comic board, or an iconic face printed on a poster softened by time. Then there is the story of the object itself, a surviving artifact passed from hand to hand, cherished in private collections or discovered by chance in an attic, arriving today as a silent witness to an era.
These are more than mere collectibles; they are fragments of childhoods, promises fulfilled or broken by the silver screen, and the unrepeatable strokes of artists who built entire universes with nothing more than a nib and a bottle of ink. Pop culture, so often dismissed as minor entertainment, reveals itself here in all its true power: a universal language capable of spanning decades and generations without ever losing its capacity to inspire wonder.
Because every great legend, long before becoming a myth, was simply a sketch on a blank sheet of paper.
