The City of Music Home of the world-famous composer Giuseppe Verdi and the conductor Arturo Toscanini, Parma has a long tradition of excellence when it comes to music and Opera. The origin of the name The name of Europe's most famous antiques and vintage event is inspired by a famous card game that is very popular in Italy: Mercante in fiera - 'the merchant at the fair' in English - an engaging and collective game in which the merchant tries to sell his cards. In a winning parallelism and play on words, our exhibitors become the merchants who 'at the fair', inside the exhibition spaces of Fiere di Parma, engage in commercial activities.
